Planning on going over the briny for a week in late September. Have been to Paris before, but never for a whole week. Looking for suggestions for best neighborhoods (got the other stuff figured out) and/or best hotels (not talking high-end) in which to stay.

My best thought is somewhere that's a real neighborhood.... not too touristy, lots of local feel (markets, cafes, etc.), easy access to the metro.

I've got some guidebooks, but I always question how accurate they are. Or how "clean" their perspective is.

Advice would be appreciated.
