Sarah Palin Violates 'Flag Code' in Mag Photo -

Read ArticleArticle Source: Arts & Living from Newser

In her photo shoot for a recent Runner's World story, Sarah Palin appears to have committed an act that could shock Republican supporters: breaking the American "flag code." The magazine features a picture of Palin leaning on a flag draped over a chair—apparently violating rules against "bunching up" the flag and using it as "drapery," notes Katy Kelleher for Jezebel.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Didn't McCain do something like autograph a flag or something like that during his campaign? What a pair him and her.

Don't remember that. You'd think as ex-military John would know better than that though if he did. Thinking, on the other hand, is not Sarah's long pantyhose. ;^)

Well then it's "US Code" for cabinet members to be voted on by congress but Obama has circumvented that by naming "Czars" instead. Will you lead the fight to see that these so-called Czars are removed from office then since you have so much concern for "US Code"?

I am watching a pathetic speech by Sarah Palin resigning from the position of Governor of Alaaaaska. She will not run for Governor next year. I can't wait for that link to be put up on the internet - She sounds as "stupid" as always - she so whiiiiiinnnnned - holy crap.

There was maybe 20 people at this news conference - I don't think anyone in Alaaaaska cares......There is something up here - she's afraid something is going to come out - maybe IMHO something about Todd's involvement with AIP organzation who promotes Secession from the United States on their web site.

    Something is up here.

You are laughing now, but I'm not. This man is hands-down the worst president I've seen since LBJ, and yes worse than Bush. He's Bush on steroids.

Wait till his "stimulus" fizzles while the job losses mount. When it finally dawns upon the electorate that they've been played by a slick lawyer, his approval ratings will make Bush's look good. Hopefully that will play out before Election Day 2010, so the people can toss as many incumbents out of Congress as possible and replace them with scrupulous Americans who serve the people first instead of themselves. Then they can put a leash on Obama and force him to do the job we sent him to Washington to do.

I think you're the only one here who understands your parallel.

So it's OK for him to put us close to $1 trillion deeper into debt with a "stimulus" that's doomed to fail? It's OK for him to shower the suits and UAW workers in billions of dollars while the rest of us are losing our jobs? It's OK for him to tamper with the private sector and get the federal government into the automobile industry by annexing GM?

I think you're the only one here who understands your parallel.

You and Kath stubbornly refuse to grasp the gravity of Obama's reckless brand of governing. It will become evident to you eventually though.

      rick

I don't see how any of that has anything to do with invading Iraq.

This is another example of a poor photo setup. If you enlarge the picture and view the position of the chair, there is no way she could be leaning on the flag. Whoever took the picture either did a poor or good job seting up the shot depending on their intentions.

Sam, in all seriousness, I'm sure you're correct. But Sarah P. didn't learn her lesson from the turkey fiasco last Thanksgiving which was the same thing. She never will, it seems.

If you look at the rest of the photos from that spread (ahem) you'll see the photog or the AD talked Sarah into all kinds of goofy poses. Giving her the benefit of the doubt here, of course.

You've aptly summed up the performance of our new president as well.

Rick, I'd pay more attention to your 'sky is falling' missives except for one thing. You guys already labeled Obama the worst president ever on January 21. By January 22, you were all predicting a Doomsday Scenario.

Keep crying wolf, though, if that's what floats your boat.
